Working With Young Adults

Working With Young Adults is a BPS-accredited CPD course designed for professionals supporting 18 to 25-year-olds in mental health and wellbeing services.  Co-designed with young adults, carers, and practitioners, the course helps participants understand the unique developmental needs of this age group — especially during transitions between child and adult services. It combines psychological insight with practical, evidence-based strategies to enhance communication, engagement, and support.

Who this course is for:

  • Mental health professionals supporting young adults
  • Staff working in transition pathways or crisis services
  • Voluntary sector practitioners
  • Early intervention and community teams
  • Anyone working with 18–25s in health, education, or social care

Structure and CPD hours:

  • 1 x self-paced e-learning module (approx. 3 hours)
  • 1 x live webinar session (approx. 3 hours)
  • Participants must complete both components to receive their CPD certificate.
  • Once you’ve signed up for a webinar slot you will receive the e-learning material to complete in advance
  • Total CPD time: 6 hours
  • The course is approved by the British Psychological Society for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

After this course, you will:
